Parents of Preschoolers May Challenge Week 1 Results

I am part of a wonderful group called Parents of Preschoolers. Each month they try put together some kind of challenge members can choose to participate in. These are my results from Week 1's challenge:


This challenge will have several components that need to be tracked daily:

1) Exercise - For every 10 minutes of exercise daily (cardio, strength training, etc.), give yourself 5 points. (No partial credit)

2) Water - Give yourself 2 points for every cup (that’s 8 oz) of water you have every day. No partial credit

3) Freggies: Give yourself 2 points for each serving of FRESH fruits or vegetables you have daily and 1 point for each frozen, canned or processed fruit or veggie.

4) Sleep: Give yourself 5 points if you got at least 7 hours of sleep, 0 points for less than that

5) Calorie Range - all the freggies and exercise in the world won’t work if we are eating too much! Give yourself 10 points for staying within calorie range. Go over your calories and you don’t get any points.

6) Weight: This will be a weekly bonus - Give yourself 10 bonus points if you lost any weight. Give yourself 5 bonus points if you maintained. No extra points if you gained but you won’t lose points either.


Starting Weight: 171.8

Wednesday (5/1):

Exercise - 45 min = 20 pts
Water - 10 glasses = 20 pts
Freggies - 12 serv fresh = 24 pts
Sleep - 10 hrs (wasn't feeling good) - 5 pts
Stay within SP Calorie Range - 10 pts

Wednesday total: 79 pts

Thursday (5/2):

Exercise - 60 mins = 30 pts
Water - 12 glasses = 24 pts
Freggies - 12 serv fresh = 24 pts
Sleep - 7 hrs = 5 pts
Stay within SP Calorie Range - 10 pts

Thursday total: 93 pts

Friday (5/3):

Exercise - 0 mins = 0 pts
Water - 10 glasses = 20 pts
Freggies - 5 serv fresh = 10 pts
Sleep - 10 hrs = 5 pts
Stay within SP Calorie Range - 10 pts

Friday total: 45 pts

Saturday (5/4):

Exercise - 10 mins = 5 pts
Water - 8 glasses = 16 pts
Freggies - 5 serv fresh = 10 pts
Sleep - 0 hrs = 0 pts (up all night studying for an exam)
Stay within SP Calorie Range - 0 pts

Saturday total: 31 pts

Sunday (5/5):

Exercise - 0 mins = 0 pts
Water - 8 glasses = 16 pts
Freggies - 2 serv fresh = 4 pts
Sleep - 7 hrs = 5 pts
Stay within SP Calorie Range - 0 pts

Sunday total: 25 pts

Monday (5/6):

Exercise - 65 mins = 30 pts
Water - 10 glasses = 20 pts
Freggies - 10 serv fresh = 20 pts
Sleep - 7 hrs = 5 pts
Stay within SP Calorie Range - 10 pts

Monday total: 85 pts

Tuesday (5/7):

Exercise - 100 mins = 50 pts
Water - 14 glasses = 28 pts
Freggies - 10 serv fresh = 20 pts
Sleep - 7 hrs = 5 pts
Stay within SP Calorie Range - 10 pts

Tuesday total: 113

Ending Weight: 169.2 lbs

WEEKLY WEIGH-IN BONUS: 10 pts

WEEKLY TOTAL POINTS: 481 pts


I didn't do to bad. Wasn't feeling well towards the end of the week and had a very busy weekend. Hopeing to improve my points total during Week 2 :o)
