Yesterday I felt accomplished. Last night I was tired, slept, but not enough.
Today, I did get in my ten minutes before work before getting up. I even ordered a salad with chicken for lunch (only ate about a third of it - it was way too big.)
But, by the time 3 p.m. rolled around, I was exhausted and my back was aching. Still had an hour to go, and so I got up a few times and walked around - went to the ladies room, went to get a new box of tissues in the cafeteria area, put my stuff away.
By the time I got out in the van to drive home, I was still pretty bushed. And it was hot, and the A.C. wasn't working well. I boost up the radio and sang along, and cut out the stop at the grocery store.

Tonight I need to aim for better sleep.
I did my lighter exercise today, even with hand weights, as well as walking at work.
Tomorrow I have an appointment for a haircut.

I aim to balance the week is to shoot for Intervals on Mon. Weds. and Sat. with walking on Tuesday, Thursday, and Fridays when I work, and try to fit in my light morning ten minutes on the off days (not interval days)

I aim to get to bed for midnight. I don't know why that is so hard, but it is probably because my dh works night and I don't want to turn in alone. I know sleep is really key with making this work.

    I have the same trouble getting to sleep before midnight -unfortunately, after my busy days its seems late evening is all I have to catch up with my Sparking! Sleep is critical! I am sure a lot of my troubles stem from the lack of it! Hope you get a good one!

    I used to do a lot of data entry (how I put on this stupid weight!) sitting at a desk. For relief for the back, even if I had to go to the ladies room or break room, I'd do upward stretches. Intense all the way round type torso twists. then for relief with the hips, extend one leg all the way back while bending at the waist, and with same side hand touch the stationery toe, same for other leg....It seemed to help some..

    Your plan sounds great...get some rest! You don't want to get as bad as I am and you wanna be your best for your dh! (That way at judgment day, your buns are covered regardless of how he is LOL)

    Great plan and I agree, you may need to start moving bedtime back a little bit at a time to get the sleep your body needs.

    I find that drinking water helps pick up my energy when I feel tired. It sounds like you have a good plan. emoticon

    I'm a natural night owl and have always had trouble getting enough sleep. I felt that going to bed before midnight wasted the best part of the day. But, I work days so it had to be done. I started by going to bed at 11:30. When I was falling asleep that early, I moved my bedtime to 11:00 and then to 10:30. I still feel like I'm wasting the best part of the day but I don't feel wasted all day from not getting enough sleep.

    Just thought I'd pass on what helped me. emoticon
