Another sunny day!

Tuesday, May 07, 2013

Another sunny day and time to try out my new clothesline. My stuffed pepper stuffed bread came out great and my husband declared it his favorite.

Today's menu is cabbage, beans and ham in the crockpot. Of course it calls for bread for dunking. I'm really trying to limit my bread but hubby missed it so much that I can't deny him and then it smells so good, I can't resist, so only 1 piece for me and eating it slow.

I'm slowly cleaning out the house. Yesterday I brought 3 huge bags of books to Goodwill. How I hate to throw anything away. I was such a reader and kept all my books but now with kindle, they are becoming obsolete. I've still got more to go but I did what I could carry in 2 trips, the rest will go later. After 40 years, we acculimated too much stuff, the house is almost a hoarders nightmare. Then we closed 3 antique stores and naturally, I brought the good stuff home. Final conclusion, I need a bigger house, lol!!

I am constantly saying I need a bigger house! When I divorced, I moved from a 9 room house that had large airy rooms to a 4 room apartment, then into the 6 room duplex I am in now. I had culled alot of stuff in the first move, and I cull a little bit more every year. My problem is that I have alot of material for my sewing projects, and it's hard to keep it all neatly organized with nowhere to put it at the moment. I'm using Panda's old bedroom as my sewing room now, but I still have a bureau, 3 bookcases and a cedar chest in that room on top of the desk and cutting table! I think I will need to start utilizing the bureau drawers for some of the material if I can. I have all the patterns in plastic totes on a shelf of one book case.

A few weeks back we culled the garage a bit, which was a good thing. Still have more to go through, but it will come with time.

I am glad there is some sunshine somewhere. We have been having rain like forever and we are over 2500 miles from Seattle.

    Make Today a Great Day!
