I didn't realize I was one of those people.

Monday, May 06, 2013

I consider my self to be NOT unintelligent and have a little street smarts, but this week has been a real eye opener for me.

I haven't been very busy at work so I've been doing a little more web reading than normal. What I've discovered is I have been changing or adjusting my plan 1 or more times a day based on what I just read.

I didn't think I was one of those people. It is time to get back to basics, again. Calories in versus calories out! However, I will continue to add lemon to my water and Lipton Tea & Honey drinks, I'm really enjoy that, but because it tastes good, not because I think it will magically cleanse my system.

There are some bits of information I will be holding on to. A lot of this is mental. I need to rewrite my goals, add dates and be more affirming. I need to realize this is possible and I am a stronger than anyone realizes, even my self. In a future blog I will be restating my goals. But I must declare I have stayed below 170 for over a week and that checks off one :).

One goal is to accept responsibility (and credit) and stop looking for the magic bullet. Calorie quantity and quality, strength, flexibility and endurance. With these goals i will be a winner, no matter what.

Hugs and Kisses

Well said! And you're not alone looking for that magic bullet. I've joined couple of weeks before you and already changed goals many times. Which actually helps me to gain more perspective and am motivated to work harder on myself. And congrats on maintaining your weight which is really difficult after our 40s. Btw I love lemon water! I didn't used to drink enough water until I someone told me about adding lemon.

I love your attitude. No beating yourself up, just recognizing that what you've been doing hasn't quite worked so well, and that going back to the basics is just what you need. The fact that you stayed under 170 is awesome! Way to go!
