Don't look to much in to it......

Monday, May 06, 2013

I just know
I am at a loss...so I stop.
Crossroads that I see
I see no end.

Decide to get back in and keep going
Dawn then dark.
Not city dark but country dark.
Headlights can only see so far ahead.

Watching the uneven yellow lines pass beneath
Weaving between the lanes
just to keep awake
Crack the window, letting the dark cold night blow through.

I do not fear the darkness
I embrace it for what it doesn't show
Maybe not ready to face dawn again
The uneven yellow lines bring me comfort.

Felt like I have been traveling way to long
Gas is getting low.
I stop at the last crossroad
I step out and let the cold dark air surround me.

That is when it hit me.

You are an awesome poet. I would love to read more.

One thing about lights on a car; it gives you only enough light to reach a short distance, but it is consistent so we continue to have the light we need. Just like there is not enough light to show our entire destination from point A to Z, but we still have what we need from A to B to C to D etc.

This is how my journey of faith in God works. He does not let me see the whole process down here, but gives me the daily light for each hour of each day. He keeps me on the path no matter how difficult and lets me know that the end of this journey is worth it all for it is just the beginning of non-stop victories from then on.

Have a great day and please keep on writing for I love to read your blogs. You are so very talented.
