No Excuses

Sunday, May 05, 2013

Holy. I have fallen off the wagon again. I haven't really tracked food for a week and also have not exercised for a week. What's up with that?! Well, hm, let me run through my rolodex of excuses. Or not. We can always come up with excuses, right? But we also know how to stick with it when the going gets rough, so...... NO EXCUSES.

I am ready, willing, and able to get back track. Starting now. No excuses.

One of my better excuses at the moment is that I have some kind of weird, severe stomach pain going on. I'm not sure if I'm perhaps being a hypochondriac or what. It seems like it must be muscle related because it really hurts if I do something that requires use of my abdominal muscles -- even laughing or blowing my nose. Extremely painful. It doesn't feel like any muscle soreness I've ever known, and there was no specific thing I did that strained it, that I can think of. Since that's bothering me, I can't run. But -- NO EXCUSES -- I am going for a good, long walk today. I know I can handle that because I just took my dog for a short walk.

if you have any ideas about this stomach issue, I would love to hear from you! I searched online and couldn't come up with much. The hypochondriac in me is thinking HERNIA. emoticon

Aside from that, I've been busier than usual at work and just eating too much in general... I don't even know why. I think when I'm not in that running/training mode, it's harder for me to keep eating right.

So. Back on track. Now. No excuses. Did you hear me? NO EXCUSES.

Fitness Quest Aside --- I'm having fun shopping for some new outdoor furniture. We need new furniture for our new deck AND for the renovated sunporch. I'm trying to figure out a) what will look awesome b) what will FIT and c) what we can afford. All the stars need to align to make this work, you see. I want to get nice stuff that will hold up forever and ever but doesn't cost a fortune. Does such a thing exist? I found some Braxton Culler pieces that I'm seriously considering. They do not come cheap though.

Ok, gotta go. I will walk now before something else distracts me!!

Good for you for getting back on track! As for the stomach pain, if it's strong enough to prevent you for running and it hasn't gone away- maybe it's time to visit your doctor?
