Not very happy

Saturday, May 04, 2013

I am noticing every other week I can't eat enough calories. My fibromyalgia has been flaring up and it makes my body hurt everywhere. So, when I exercise I actually loosen up and feel a little better. I know I am not going to meet my goal on time. But I will meet my goal even if it takes longer. emoticon

When I was the step-father to a special son who was autistic, he taught me one valuable lesson. When he was having difficulty understanding a subject from school, he would say under his breath, "DON'T GIVE UP!" When his mom and I divorced ten years ago, I faced two challenges. First I was $58,000 in dept from credit cards and second, I weighed 235 pounds. It took three years of bankruptcy payments to get out of debt and it took 7 years to go from 235 down to 155 pounds my goal weight.

During the times when I was frustrated because of financial issues and when my body was not what I wanted it to be, I would recall Dominic's' words, "DON'T GIVE UP!" So with my experience I say to you "DON'T GIVE UP!"

It took a long time, but I did not give up and now have a decent credit rating and I am at my goal weight. Like you, I take medications for an illness that makes loosing weight very difficult, but I will say it can be done!

I hope my story helps you, that you DON'T GIVE UP, no matter how hard or long it takes, YOU will reach your goal with determination and motivation. I wish you luck as you continue to fight on your journey to a healthier you!

Fibromyalgia is so painful. Do what you can even if it does take longer.
