Water, Water Everywhere

I love the pool (but hate the beach). Today was my first day in the pool in at least 2 weeks. The instructor asked me to participate in a video she's making on Sunday. How exciting!

I have to be perfectly honest, I hate drinking water. I know that I don't drink enough. I'm catching up on my reading (the newspapers have been stacking up for the past 2 weeks too!) I ran across this Did You Know? - Dehydration can be detrimental to your metabolism. A lack of fluid hampers your body's calorie burning abilities. People who drank 12 8-ounce glasses of water daily had higher resting metabolic rates than those who drank 4-8.

My goal for next week is to drink more water. Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

    I drink lots of fruit infused water as I was not a big fan of water when I first started this plan. I gave up my favorite drink (Dr. Pepper) cold turkey the day I started The Simple Diet and I have not had one since. Water infused with natural fruit has helped me to gain a love for this delicious beverage and now, besides green tea (no added anything), that is what I drink.

    Congratulations on the video! That is very exciting!
