Tracy Anderson? 30 days?! I'm prepared, I'm ready! Get to Know this program!

Friday, May 03, 2013

Last Friday I finally got The Tracy Anderson 30 Day Method [The Weight Loss Kick- Start that Makes Perfection Possible] Featuring Tracy's Exclusive 30- Day Method DVD! That's what it says on the cover.

I have just finished reading the book all the way through a few days ago, watched the entire DVD (need to get a strong stable chair), then read and studied the recipe index all the way through, (it is void of almost no fat and no carb daily menus and recipes, not even nuts or legumes, but lots of fruit and veggies, my favorite!)

The preparation, I have prepared a large enough space to work out, on the floor, in a chair and dance like cardio, I tested it all. I have even prepared a weekly meal plan for myself, not very expensive and quick to cook. That is a great thing about her daily meal plans, not very expensive at all, and not a lot of time in the kitchen. Yet, the common complaint about her meal plans is that there just isn't enough food for you to eat daily, and maintain everyday energy, plus working out. I now see what people are talking about when they say her meal plans are sparse. I tried it out on day and was starving and dizzy in the middle of the night. That's one and only area of criticism I have. Here is an example if her exact daily menu

Day 1

Strawberry mint salad

Tomato minestrone soup

Choco Chestnut pudding

Poached cod and Roasted asparagus

My tweaked version of a daily meal plan influenced by her

Egg white herb and spinach wrap- with whole wheat tortilla
(TA recipe I added the tortilla)

Crudites w/balsamic dip (TA recipe)
vegan bacon with slice of cheese with my home grown sprouts!

Snacks/ dessert/ Drinks
Iced tea one teaspoon agave
Choco chestnut pudding (TA recipe) fresh strawberries

Stir fried veggie, buckwheat soba noodles, tofu with asian marinade (using little oil)
Recipe from Eat,Drink & Be Vegan

Tracy Anderson workout DVD. I love it! Great music, she is known to have such a revolutionary style of excersise. I don't like lunges or squats or crunches. I don't like to start and stop every ten min, switch off from intense high impact cardio to high impact weight lifting all the while not moving fast enough to keep up, and tripping over my weights and mat. THen waking up in such soreness that I am very fatigued and in pain. (Thank you Jullian Michaels) Sorry.
Tracy Anderson's method DVD was something I liked all along and felt more natural to me. All her exercises, all at once for about 20 min, then do the cardio for 20 min. She even is forgiving. If you're just starting out and really out of shape including uncoordinated (like me) tap your feet and move to follow what she is doing for the first 3 days, then after that start jumping to the cardio moves. I never heard a fitness expert encourage that! Go at your own pace, do what you can in the beginning, but still challenge and push yourself in your own way.

I will let you know how everything is doing after the first ten days.

I like metamorphosis. I did day 1 a couple of days ago, I am sooo sore. I had to skip yesterday to rest the muscles. Her book workout is even harder than the DVDs.
Her diet is very low in calories. I checked out the vegetarian version. So don't be afraid to eat more than what she says.
