Gloomy Weather

Thursday, May 02, 2013

The thermometer has not gotten out of the 30's all day. I will have to go tuck in the greenhouse in about an hour to help conserve heat for the night. Most years it has been warm enough at this time of May to even have some frost free nights. I think we are about 2 weeks behind our normal spring weather. It is affecting my mood since I really would like to be outdoors working in my yard and getting my flower beds cleaned up before I tackle the vegetable garden. I am carb craving and attribute it to the weather. I am crossing my fingers for sunshine and warmer weather.

I'm going through the same thing. After the 80s on Tuesday, it's in the 40s today and in the 30s tonight. It is also very windy today. I feel like I'm set back about two weeks.

I know what you mean - Long Island has been slow with the warm weather! I haven't started my little 4 x 8" garden yet - maybe on the weekend...
