Progress Report

OK. So I'd taken a few month hiatus from SparkPeople just to see how I would do on my own. I have to tell you, it was a struggle.

I was making it to the gym a few times a week but I wasn't watching my calories as much. My weight went up and down and still does so I resolved today that I would get back to the grind and count calories again down to a T. We seem to think we can manage to keep track of everything in our heads but we sometimes forget and then we justify the little things that we convince ourselves that don't really matter... like that one piece of chocolate we had.

Today, I am going to the doctor to check up on my thyroid problems and see if my meds need increased or what. I am looking forward to getting back on track. I know weight loss takes time, but I am tired of being the problem and hindering my own progress.
