Dehydration occurs when your body loses too much fluid. This can happen when you stop drinking water or lose large amounts of fluid through diarrhea, vomiting, sweating, or exercise. Not drinking enough fluids can cause muscle cramps. You may feel faint. Usually your body can reabsorb fluid from your blood and other body tissues. But by the time you become severely dehydrated, you no longer have enough fluid in your body to get blood to your organs, and you may go into shock, which is a life-threatening condition. Not drinking enough water during hot weather or exercise also may cause dehydration.You can usually reverse mild to moderate dehydration by drinking more fluids, but severe dehydration needs immediate medical treatment. The safest approach is prevention of dehydration. Monitor your fluid loss during hot weather, illness or exercise, and drink enough liquids to replace what you lose.

Dehydration is very serious and should not be taken lightly everyone keep yourself safe by remaining hydrated while exercising and even while you are sick.     I think this posting was very helpful. However, I believe I got so dehydrated or sick from something last night, I literally started sweating like crazy. I decided the only thing I could do to get my temperature down was to sit in a cold bathtub for over an hour. I had felt dizzy all day until I started feeling more dizzy that night. today I am feeling a bit better and I am eating ice cubes all day. I can eat, I just do not do things quickly. hopefully by tomorrow I will feel a bit better.
