Yes I Can!

This morning I started my C25K app and looked at the workout plan. I automatically told myself "You cannot do this!" Today was week 5 day 2 and the plan was 8 minute jog, 5 minute walk then 8 minute jog with a 5 minute warm-up and 5 minute cool down. Week 5 day 1 had included 5 minute jogging intervals with walks in between which was not a problem, but for some reason I did not believe I could do 8 minutes. I told myself to just try do it. What is the worst that could happen? Not only did I try, but I had no problem with it. I am very slow, but my heart rate was up and I was dripping sweat so I know that it was a good workout. I wasn't ready to walk after the 8 minutes were up! It was really the break through that I needed to build my confidence.

Another bit of good news is that my foot is not getting any worse. It ached a bit when I finished, but some Advil took care of that. Yesterday wasn't too bad either. I am going to continue with my plan, do the stretches that were recommended and see if I can take care of the problem without giving up on running.

Today I really feel like I can do this!

    8 mins of jogging is awesome! There's lots of fit looking people who can't do that! So glad you got the boost you needed, and that your foot isn't getting worse.
