Weight down, energy up!

Hey all, I've been enjoying sunny weather in the Midwest at my Mom's house. Here's what's been going on:

-Weight has dropped to the 135 point somethings!! So just over 11 lbs to go! I have some advantages now, too: my Mom has agreed to stop leaving snacks around. I do my own cooking here as well, so I know exactly what goes into the food I eat. I also have a good food scale. It makes a big difference to actually weigh food versus just use a measuring cup or similar.

-Training has been going well. I've incorporated speedwork into my running program. The rolling hills of the Midwest allows me to successfully do it, unlike the HUGE hills of Seattle. I do cardio 6 days a week, and now try to do a different type of cardio from day-to-day. Although I still run every other day, I miss running daily, but I'm in the home stretch of weight loss, so going to try to stick with the new plan.

-Still doing mostly at-home strength workouts about 4x a week.

-I'm returning to calorie cycling of 3 days low - 1 high - 2 low - 1 high. I find after about 3 days my weight loss stalls, and continues again if I go up, so I think this will help.


My goal weight right now is 124. I am starting to think I would like to be 116 again (that what I weigh in my profile/goal picture, a few years ago!). My BMI at 116 would be 20.2, still towards the middle of the healthy range for my height, which is 18.5–24.9. However I may not be able to go that low because I may have too much lean mass right now, meaning my bodyfat % would be too low. I'm going to get to my initial goal and decide then!!!
