GM Soy Linked to Illnesses in Farm Pigs

The good news is that the pigs recovered when put on a GMO free diet!
I for one am going to try to eat GMO free. Since GMO corn is in nearly all packaged products at the grocery it is a challenge. It is more difficult since there is no labeling required in this country. So why is labeling done in Europe and not here? The answer is because of big companies influence ($) on elections. See my blog on who paid to defeat the California initiative to require GMO labeling.

I already knew this, but it was good to read about it again and re-commit to warding off all packaged corn. I can forget sometimes when I think I am safe cause it says organic and natural on the package. Especially when you are in the natural-foods aisle designated to us clean eaters in some stores. I think I have a pkg of corn tortillas in the fridge right now and I'll bet they are just this kind of crap. I just looked at them and the are manufactured in TX. White corn. I threw them out! I have to be more careful. I had'nt opened them yet. emoticon emoticon
