down time

I start my three days off from work right now....woo hoo
After getting back from Las Vegas I headed right back into a crazy busy week at work. Now...it's time to regroup and make lists of what needs to be done. The wheres and the when's of it all.
Wedding #1 is less than a month away. (25th) and wedding #2 is 6 weeks away. The snow in the yard is melting and we have 3 pumps going to assist in the run off. Main goal is to dry the yard up faster to finish the yard work as wedding #2 is right here in our yard.
Let the games begin.....................

I remember the best wedding advice ever from reading it 20 years ago. It said, "if only 10 (or less) things don't go as planned, then you had a perfect wedding! The thing that makes an imperfect wedding is the attitude of the participants when those 10 things go wrong. Your guests will only remember the joy of the event if the wedding party has a sense of humor about the glitches that occur." And that has always stuck in my mind as being so true. I wish you less than 3 glitches! Hoping you enjoy every step of the planning. The flowers are looking so beautiful. How blessed to even have a place that someone would want to use for their wedding!!!
Have a great work week! Wishing you continued warmer weather! (And don't worry a bit about replying - friends understand!)

Hi Dee: Just a note to wish you luck in the yard work and all the wedding plans. I can imaging what you are going through, as Hubby and I planned, catered and paid for our wedding 25 years ago. We had lists, and anything else we could use to keep on track. Keep some time for yourself and enjoy yourself! Hugs, Lynel emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I sure do hope the pumps get all the water out so that you can get on with getting everything ready the way you want for the weddings. Oh I do remember the lists of things to do-my lists were mostly for all the stuff I needed to have ready for the day after the wedding. At that time the brides family hosted a gift opening, allong with serving a meal. Thank goodness my mother and sister came the day before the wedding and we made the food, and my lovely neighbor offered her refridge so storing food( I had done that for her daughters weddings). As for the wedding it was a held in a nice place that even had decorations up that worked for whatever event was held in the place, and theirfood was fanastic. Sorry I just was just reliving our DD wedding 14 years ago this August. I find lists help for many things, some days I have several going at one time---never know when I might forget something.

Don't worry about answering back, I know you are crazy busy. I just wanted to tell you that its so good to hear how things are going for you. Somehow I feel I have lost touch with you and I don't want to. I hope your pumps work well, on the drainage, and I hope the weddings are dreams come true. Its so good to hear from you!!

It sounds like you've got a busy wedding season ahead. You've got time to lose some weight and save up some calories for those special occasions.
