So today is the second day obviously, since yesterday was the first day! One of the comments mentioned the Paleo diet and I have done a little research into that. I think I will do a little more, and will let the food tracker track my food intake as far as carbs are concerned. When Karen, my sister-in-law, who is diabetic, was eating things for dinner like a chicken breast and a green salad, her blood sugar was doing fine. The dietician at the hospital told her she wasn't eating enough carbs. Hello? Isn't that what part of diabetes care is supposed to be - limiting your carbs??? That's what the pediatrician told me when our son was diagnosed over 35 years ago. So anyway, going to try limiting carbs no matter what form they come in and doing some more research on Paleo. I did read Wheat Belly (oh, good grief!!) and have not been eating as much wheat which, on a secondary note, pretty much eliminated my heartburn. Upward and onward!

    I'm also interested in the Paleo diet but don't think I could do it full-time. I heard about it because I'm gluten intolerant, so naturally gluten free you do hear about Paleo. But I do love my grains like brown rice and quinoa and don't know that I could totally give them up. But I don't think it would hurt to do something like that from time to time.
