REQUIRED BLOG FOR TEAM CHALLENGE WEEK 4

Monday, April 29, 2013

Happy to have lost a few pounds trying to hold onto that success. Making it a daily quest to reduce or eliminate SUGAR, STARCH, SALT, SATURATED FATS, CAFFEINE. Trying not to be radical but slowly move toward that healthier place. Weekend eating out was a challenge and I could have done better will work on it during week so slips won't hurt me so much.

For this week I am really working on my head to get it in a better place for healthy eating since most of my eating problems stem from stress and tension created from events occurring right now in my life. My objective will be to meditate on following words:

FOCUS ON WHAT I DO HAVE AND CAN DO ........ AND NOT ON WHAT I CAN'T HAVE AND CAN'T DO.

Hi Yvonne, I know it's hard to eat consistently healthy when we're so stressed out. . .I hope you have tried some stress relieving things such as meditation, yoga, exercise and Journaling to help deal with your stressed out feelings. Take it nice and slow and focus on changing one thing at a time. I know you can do this and I'm in your corner rooting for you. Take good care.

Good advice - I drink very little coffee - in fact one cup of coffee in the AM. I now use 1/2 caffeine which is 1/2 real caffeine and 1/2 decaffeinated. Seems to work for me. I do have on occasion in the evening tea - but that is full caffeine which doesn't bother me. Full caffeine does in coffee - go figure! I always drink caffeine free diet soda - very limited - gave it up for 6 months - but went back to it, I missed my soda...

Sounds like your mindset is in the positive direction. To take it in slow steps and not to beat on yourself for a slip, which there really is no going back and making up for, it just is. Focusing on what is doable and what you have the ability to handle is also a good positive mindset. You have a lifetime to tweak your nutritional life style. emoticon emoticon

You're being very smart to focus on what's doable for you. You have your whole life to tweak things until you get it just right!
