New Goal

This coming month, I am making a consistency goal with my running. I will be making sure I run 3 days a week. I want to be able to run with very little walking or no walking at all. I will be going back to doing Week #6 of my 5K challenge. The workout is 5-minute warm-up, 10-minute run, 5-minute walk, 10-minute run, and finish with a 5-minute cooldown. Now, I found a park to go to run a 5K this spring/summer, which is close to my home.

Also, I love running, because it helps me to relieve my stress! I heard a quote that says running is cheaper than therapy. Plus, the ladies in my running group are quite inspirational with their running goals.

So, here I go to achieve another goal of mine!

    the 5K training plans are great...keep up the good work! You will LOVE the race...the experience is nothing like I have ever felt. The adrenaline is so high, it's awesome!

    You are very right about running being therapy, I was having the worst day yesterday and dwelling on a lot of negativity but it only took about 1-1.5 miles for my mind to clear. My husband also notices and will tell me to "go run or something", lol!

    Can't wait to see how you progress toward your goals!

    That's great. I just start the C25K on Friday and I was really happy with myself for getting started number one and number 2 I did it again on Saturday. I plan to follow the 3 days a week routine but it's people like you that share their success and goals with running that got me started last week. Thanks and I wish you well on your goals.

    It's strange, I don't really think too much about anything on my early morning runs. But, every time I get home I feel better, even if my body is a bit sore and tired. The runs will be worth it. Good luck with your running goal and enjoy your running group, good company makes the run nicer.
