Accountability Log for the Week of April 21st

Sunday, April 28, 2013

Pretty good week, stayed on track for the most part with calories, averaged a little higher than I would have like, but still was a pound lost so I will take that. Had some fluctuations with salt and ate to many processed food so got back on track with fresh and healthier today. Emotionally there were not to many curves which always helps because I know that I eat sometimes due to how I am feeling. Learning new techniques all the time there though, so really hoping to have great control of that oh, within the next six months to a year, I¡¦ll gander ;)

Great brunch! Many times I eat breakfast and lunch together. I am working on getting a good breakfast in most days, but sometimes I am just not feeling it. Matter of fact, some days I just don¡¦t feel like eating period. I don¡¦t force it because I figure I can just use the time to pray and fast unto the Lord. I really don¡¦t sweat it, I let my body lead me. I would love to be one of these ultra-disciplined people who always do the same thing every day over and over and over again, lol, but I am not much of a Phlegmatic, so I highly doubt I¡¦ll nail that here. (maybe when I reach the other side ;) I don¡¦t feel particularly drawn to be that scheduled either, so yeah, if God says tighten it up I will otherwise I¡¦m going to just continue enjoying the progress and the journey.

Took a picture of today¡¦s meal, it was baked Pollock with mayo, parm cheese and lemon juice with a little bit of this and that for seasonings, fried sweet potatoes with red onions and fresh parsley, I put cinnamon, turmeric and cumin on them. Wow, they were so yummy! Also cut a squash in two, then carved it out and lightly steamed some cauliflower to throw on top. Drizzled some butter and red pepper flakes. Again, my taste buds rejoiced! I love eating as close to nature as possible. It makes me feel so stinkin¡¦ good!

Exercise, hmm, did aerobics every day this week, plus went on two two mile jogs, a one mile neighborhood walk where I allowed the Lord to use me to pray for various families and our community in general. I imagined every step I took as a proclamation to the Lord that this was his land, his town, he could have his way. I came back very alive and energized after that one. WOO WEE! I always take my mp3 when I¡¦m out and sometimes songs speak very loud and clear to me, shared how Pillar¡¦s Simply has been echoing through my mind all week. Um, did some conditioning on Saturday. Trying a circuit training video on top of lifting light weights a couple of times a week, to help my skin along as I lose. Noticed some NEW MUSCLES ƒº ƒº ƒº last night in my upper arms, lol and kept flexing them over and over in disbelief. Hee, hee. So yeah, that¡¦s the exercise cap. I am enjoying the circuit training so I am going to really try to focus on that for Saturdays.

Also going to switch up my internet blogging, thinking one time a week for my health update/accountability blogs and just twice a week for spiritual blogs, I don¡¦t want to get too obsessed with facebook/sparkpeople, nor do I want to overwhelm anyone, so yeah. It¡¦s getting nice, I am staying outside! I can already see it for this upcoming week, then when my mom and dad open the pool, it¡¦s over, lol. I will be permanently affixed to the pool or the grill, or simultaneously attending to both, lol. I can not wait to get my grill on! Grilled Veggies! Grilled Fruit! Grilled EVERYTHING, lol, hope to share lots of ideas there ;)

So yeah, John and I are going to finish Sunday up with some Justice League for him and Pride and Prejudice for me. Yeah :D Happy Sunday!

Your supper looks amazing! I've started taking pictures of my meals so that I can go back and remember, "Yes, this was yummy and it was under 400 calories!" It sounds like you had a wonderful week! I am so amazed by you! (although I shouldn't be surprised, there are so many strong and wonderful people here on SP.) I will miss not reading as many of your spiritual blogs, but I totally understand where you are coming from. I have started posting verses on the wall that I face while running on my treadmill. I need to add some more now.

Keep up the great work! You have so much to be proud of! You are a beautiful, wonderful person!

Wow. I wish I had your commitment. I think I've been doing this waaaay too long. the first 43 lbs. were relatively easy, it's these last 25 I'm really struggling with. I envy you your access to a pool! Keep up the good work! emoticon
