I have been quite stressed over the past few months related to my job. I received a promotion several months ago and for the past three months it has been very stressful. I am working out and eating okay. I have no weight loss and my abdomen seems to be getting larger. I cannot stop eating sweets at least once per day. I've tried the sweet tooth challenge without success. I think this is related to my stressful life.i am joining this the Stress challenge to focus on relying on The Lord to get me through my days until He opens another door for me. Iw ill post me stress journal on my blog. So I am starting right now by taking off my TV and saying a prayer.

    Meditation and prayer are wonderful. Try keeping a food journal where you not only plan your meals and snacks, but where you keep track of everything, including "extras" that you eat. Write down how you were feeling when you ate and you may establish a pattern and also find out your "trigger foods". Then you can figure out non-food ways of dealing with your different emotions that caused you to snack. Just the simple act of planning your meals and snacks may help, as you will know not only when you'll be eating, but WHAT you'll be eating (instead of just grabbing anything to snack on). Also, try drinking water before reaching for a snack. Sometimes your body mistakes thirst for hunger. Hope this helps! emoticon emoticon
