Music really does help.

So... I'm almost to level two in the 30DS and Jillian's constant chatter is getting more annoying that it did the first time around. No offense to's just hearing the same thing every morning is getting kind of boring. So, this morning before my workout I put together a workout playlist on my Iphone and boy was I happy! What took me so long? With my personalized music I was able to work out harder and keep going longer than when I didn't have my music. I've read articles on how bringing your own music to the gym pushes you harder and you lose more weight but I never really thought about it. So, I guess I'm a believer now. I felt like such a BAMF when I was able to do 5 more reps when I was lifting! Now I am totally looking forward to these next two rest days as I think I am definitely going to need it! :)

I know what you mean about the music. It's good for drowning out distractions or helping to pick up your work-out tempo.

Music has definitely been helpful for me. I once was almost ready to go home from the gym after only a few minutes of exercising. I just felt really tired. Then, I remembered that although I didn't have my ipod, there was music on my phone. I managed another 45 minutes with my own music.

    Keep up the good work!
