Balancing Act

Okay, I get how people balance two jobs. At least, for now. My manager at Bath & Body swears she never schedules people outside their availability, and as long as that holds, I'll be good. The extra income is going to be more than welcome...and my energy isn't flagging...yet.

My issue has been fitting working out into this new was going well with just the bank job (one of the reasons I love me a bank job), but tacking a 5:30-9:30 on the end of an 8:15-4:45 is a little.....time consuming. And I know what they say: somebody busier than you is running right now. As if I was having a hard time guilting myself enough, right? lol
Anyhoo, no excuses being made--I've just gotta figure out how this works. After all, even when I was doing work and school full-time, I could hop on the exercise bike to do my reading and stuff...can't hop on the bike to work at Bath and Body! lol

...if only I could find someone to PAY me to hop on the bike or the treadmill..............

In other news--I'm still doing pretty well with saying 'no' and being reasonable... One cup of coffee per day (I find that too much coffee, just like not working out enough, agitates my anxiety issues), one reasonable indulgence (handful of almonds and a little dark chocolate? OMG), watch the carbs and calories, and try to move as much as I can.
Tonight = free massage (thank god for friends with connections, lol), chicken fried QUINOA (I'm super excited, but bf is totally dubious), and hopefully a little time to relax...I've heard that it's a bad idea to work out after a massage (similar to working out after taking pain relievers, you might overwork/overexert/injure yourself), and I don't think working out will fit in between work till 4:45, home at 5:30, massage at 6. :-)

Tomorrow, I will resume my kicking of butts.

    Wow, balancing two jobs, I can't even feel enough energy for my one job! So I guess I shouldn't complain, too :D

    Sometimes a break isn't a bad thing. As you adjust to your new schedule, just try to fit in as much movement throughout the day as you. You will be getting in steps and activity during your work shift in the evening unless you are stuck behind the register all night emoticon Hang in there and I'm sure you will find a new groove again soon.
