Think Like a Man

Wednesday, April 24, 2013

I love my hubby so much, he's patient, calm and supportive. The complete opposite of me. emoticon

We work out together and our techniques are vastly different, while I log, measure, weigh, count, portion, eliminate, read, time and micro manage every step of my journey he does nothing but lift heavier and cardio. To be fair he's stopped eating cookies emoticon , but still indulges in yummy Doritos and his addiction of Diet Coke. I won't nag him on how bad that stuff is because he already knows it.

My point is that our vastly different techniques have brought him such great results that it inspires me to push harder and lift heavier when I lift. emoticon emoticon
And not to have the female mentality of obsessing over every single calorie that protein shake had. I know male/ female makeup is different... Testosterone and such, but as difficult as this journey can be maybe just approaching it like a man may make it a bit easier.

He's an inspiration to me of just buckling down and doing it, and makes me wants to GO HARD and DON'T LOOK BACK. emoticon

I'm with you! I obsess over every stinking calorie, logging, tracking, counting, planning meals everything. Where my slim husband just goes with the flow and doesn't gain or lose an ounce. There must defiantly be something to the nonchalant attitude most men have. Not sure that I can think like a man but its worth a try.

    Oh by the way...
You've reminded me to thank my lucky stars that I also have found a great husband!
