Blog #2 Dr appointment

Tuesday, April 23, 2013

Back from dr appointment which ended up good as I figured it would. What the NS govt has scheduled as a 15 min apt turned to a 40 min one. He is always good that way but it isn't so great when you are the one waiting. lol
so....... lets see......... pap was fine. whew. not celiac good but did say you still could have a gluten intolerance ( makes me laugh at his diff. in opinion). he checked something on the puter for my rash on my arms, and there are 2 diff things to do for what he thought it could be one was a medication that you have to have your blood tested often while on it, and he wasn't doing that and the other was ---- go gluten free! LOL so will keep on checking and did give me a script for some cream if I want it. said it may slow it down so it doesnt scar as bad.
My L foot xray was interesting. outer edge of big toe has arthritis the area where my toes and foot meet arthritis, top of my foot has arthritis and something else I dont remember and there are 2 bone spurs... he said if that got bad enough I could have that ground down. Uh no thanks.

I then said do you remember me asking you about MS. yes.... so I mentioned the symptoms and such and he wrote it all down. asked me in particular about my eyes, ( have eye exam in June booked 2 years in advance as that dr is so busy) nothing I have noticed there. so he said he will do a full nerurological exam and then will send me to a specialist if need be. He is sure it isnt MS but that the arthritis is progressing and causing the nerves to be bothered. Glad that I am getting my inflammation down as that will help, rather by naturopath or my meds he was just pleased. So he will call with an apointment , as it is rather long and will take time. I am fine with that.
Long term haven't called him, nor me so that is fine. I will probably call them tomorrow as I said I would let her know about the dr apt. nver thought to get a copy of the foot exray for them. oh well next time I go.
Now to make supper, offered dad supper but all he wants is french fries and preferably deep fried I said well then sorry but you will hae to do it or go out. he dep fries so thinks we all should he is 87 and eats like this and "nothing wrong with me".
But an hr or so before supper so guess will read the rest of my library magazines and return them, then after going to lol start my curtains, hubby got my machine out for me.

Okay off I go for now. cya HUGS

My doctor told me that the only accurate test for celiac disease is a gastroscopy with a biopsy and of course I passed on it. LOL. According to him if you do an elimination diet and feel better that should be enough to consider pursuing it and maintaining it.
