So it states that paleo diet is good for diabetics and I sure hope so cause I am over this disease alright.
I think I am ready to give it a real shot too....... hope hope hope a little song I am singing.....

    I just started on Paleo a four days ago. I thought it would be tough because I love starchy foods; but I have found it really satisfying. It seems to have eliminated my sugar cravings. What a change. I also am finding it easier to stay with my calories count without feeling starved. Only challenge so ar is all the cooking and planning. I think it will get easier as I get more familiar. I am going to try it for thirty days and evaluate. I have lost two pounds since I started it which is better than I expected.

    Its any veggies except starchy ones, any amount, so I have been eating alot of veggies, all raw.
    The only dressing I have found that is allowed is Newmans Olive Oil and Vinegar with NO additives, all food preservatives, additives and substitutes are not allowed.
    The fruit servings are about 2 a day, but many fit people have more.
    Other than that its meats and eggs, no other dairy. There is an abbreviated form that allows dairy, but I am following the strict form. There is a Spark Team on Paleo which I joined and a ton of info online too.

    I have friends who swear by this - and they ALL lose weight and get lean and strong!!
    It can be tough at first, but like any eating plan, once you get past the first stages, it supposedly becomes easy! emoticon

    There is no question that eating whole foods and eliminating the causes of high blood sugar (wheat, sugar, alcohol, etc.) have helped countless people reverse their Type II Diabetes as well as eliminate a myriad of other problems including some autoimmune disfunctions. Interestingly, the stricter forms of OA Food Plans mirror this way of eating anyway! It can be very challenging at first, but it will absolutely kill your physical cravings for food and improve your health markers in every way. Be cautious about eating a lot of fruit (limit 1-2 servings per day) as fructose can cause a lot of blood sugar issues too.

    The best way to gauge it is to do it for 30 days and see how you feel.

    Unlike a lot of fad diets, it certainly cannot harm you to eat fresh, whole foods.
