    What a great blog, what great pics -- and what an adventure. I have a good friend with whom I often work who's originally from Australia (Melbourne area) who also loves birds -- and I'm always green with envy when he describes the cockatoos and lorikeets and spoonbills . . . and all the rest! Would love to get there to tour around just like you and Richard! But for now: vicarious travel only and thank you very much! (The wallabies are so sweet as well).

    Wow, what a trip and what experiences. I'll leave you the mosquitoes though lately they don't seem to swarm me-usually those near me. Once again your pictures are amazing and thanks to the map I followed along as best I could. I saw Litchfield and thought of Litchfield, Ohio, funny me.
    So DH braved the cold waters! I don't blame you for not doing so, takes too long to warm up.
    Loved the story of the celebrity snake and the descriptive story of your travels.
