Stress Reduction

I read a disturbing article today about the stress on people of today compared to in the 1950s. It was a real eye-opener.
I know, personally, that I am under a great deal of stress taking care of my mother and running the rest of my life. I want to work through it without any pharmaceuticals.

The article had a link to Chuck Norris' ways to avoid depression. I guess it is in installments so this link goes to the last installment. www.wnd.com/2013/01/chuc

Practice stress-relieving methods
I put on a movie made in 1958 while I made dinner. I had no idea what it was about, except that it starred Eddie Albert and he looked pretty good with his shirt off. emoticon

Being grateful
I am grateful for so much in my life but I forget it when the negatives come-a-calling.
Here's a partial list:
my wonderful, supportive husband
my mother
my kitties
a job and the ability to own my home and live in the town that I grew up in
great friends
my extended family

    So true about stress in todays world and definitely impacts many peoples health. I really learned a lot from going through the stress busting team exercises here on the SP site. Worth checking out if you are interested. Take care.

    Wishing your stress level will go down. When I was under allot of stress I meditated myself to sleep at night. Then when I had Cancer twice I prayed allot which was very satisfying I still am into religion because that is what saved me. Loved the utube of the cats emoticon

    Hoping you find things to help alleviate your stress and to help bring more enjoyment to every day living. We're on that quest together as I too am working on reducing the stress in my life. Some days I do better than others.
