End of 5% Spring Challenge evaluation!

Saturday, April 20, 2013

I can't believe 8 weeks have already passed. I feel so good about what I accomplished with this challenge! I am so happy that I was placed on the Awesome A Team! I found a great team! We all seemed to fit so well together and we share so much support and encouragement. I can't say enough how I appreciate each and every member and the friendships we have created!

I set my 5% goal at 12lbs which was 1lb more than 5%! I lost 11! I hit my 5% just not the goal I set for myself. I am really good with that. I also saw great loss in measurements!
But there is so much more!!!!

When I came back to sparks at the end of January, I knew I needed to be here this was home!
I knew where I had failed and what I had to do to get back to it.
I got myself back together eating and starting to get active again. Setting goals and reading them often and being constantly mindful of my choices. I knew however that I had to have accountability and that extra push that we get from challenges. So I joined the 5% Spring Challenge. Each week drove home those habits again to keep focusing on and building and making a part of my daily life. I knew it was going to be a bit challenging because my husband is a truck driver and I had been going with him and touring the country a bit and finding something to do not working and the weather being bad outside. Healthy eats and exercise is a hard thing to do on the road all the time in a truck. Slowly we starting getting things for the truck to make that a bit easier and to be able to add in healthier options not just for me but for him as well. I started finding ways to get in exercise in the truck which is challenging but practice is making it easier.
Each week I looked at how I could improve. I made mistakes and not everyday did I meet my challenges but I hung in there and know that I will for the long haul it is becoming my life again, but somehow it is easier. The first time I lost it was a learning in progress. This time I already have the knowledge it is just finding the fortitude each day to implement it! That is where this challenge really helped me. When I know others are also counting on me and not just myself, I feel obligated to give it my best. Each week we were looking at just the basic staples of what we should do everyday to succeed. Pushing to do them showed results. I know when I work at it, it happens! When I don't is doesn't plain and simple. My team helped me to not only work it but to keep it up each day!

So for me Challenge SUCCESS!! I cannot wait until the next round to see what I can accomplish! Until then I will be working just as hard as if we were still going! This is my life now! This is what it takes and I am willing to do the work to make it happen!

Thanks emoticon A Team for helping me to get back there! I look forward to many more challenges with my friends!
