Saturday Walk

emoticon Went for a lovely, work out walk today. It was a brisk 50 degree's when I started out. but after 30 minutes I removed my ear muffs and jacket. I walked for about 1:30 minutes. I had to walk in the grass quite a bit due to traffic. That really changes my pace. I walked slightly over four miles. It took longer than I expected. I think I must have walked at least one of the miles in the grass.

My heart rate monitor showed I burned 989 calories. I am not sure whether to believe that or not. After doing some stretches, I enjoyed catching the last hour of a Woodie Guthrie movie made in 1976.

    Woohoo, that's great! This amount of calories does seem to make sense to me, especially if you walk at a good pace.

    Grass is harder to walk in that on sidewalk or pavement or hard dirt. Great job on getting out there and what you accomplished!

    You have really gotten your miles in today! I'm impressed! I usually use the fitness tracker on SP for measuring calories burned as I trust it more. But 4 miles is a lot of calories burned if you are walking at a fast pace... emoticon emoticon Nothing like fresh air and a good walk to make your day!
