Today is another dull day there is no rain but it is very winding and freezing cold outside. My mood is also low today. I don't have a lot of energy to do anything. I just want to stay under the covers. some days I feel okay and other days like today I feel like crap. I didn't end up watching that movie last night. I ended up failing a sleep early. Hopfully tonight I can watch it. Well there really isn't much else to say I just feell really down. I'm tired of having to deal with depression all the time.

Are you taking medication for your depression? If so, then you need to let your doctor know it isn't working well.

I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you can watch the movie tonight. I am going to watch the NBA playoffs. I hope the Grizzlies win!

Agree with VLINDER - it does suck. And it is a difficult thing to go through. You have been making many positive changes in your life - and even changes can be a bit stressful too. You are doing really good though - you have really made progress.

So, right now I am making the funniest faces I can think of - I am sending them your way in hopes it cheers you up a little. I will even make funny faces - wear my 2 year old's clothes - and do the hula hoop - all while doing a handstand - just in the hopes of getting a giggle from you. Look, I know it's not a pretty sight - but I am DESPERATE my friend! I want that smile! Did it work? Okay, but now how do I get out of these clothes?

Make a point - if you can make it a goal - for today - to do something that you really enjoy to do - or perhaps something you have never done but always wanted to. It doesn't have to be something huge - it could even be something like have an indoor picnic and watch a movie. It is up to you! Sometimes we really need to nurture our inner-selves. We worry so much about the outside and we forget that we are inside too.

Oh - and if you watch a movie - make it a comedy. Find something that will really make you laugh. You might not be in the mood to laugh right now - but I actually have heard research done that shows that laughing (whether you mean it or not) helps release beneficial hormones that make you feel better (or at least, that was the gist of it). And it's so strange too - because there are actually "laughing clubs" where people just go to practice laughing! Now, to me - that is funny! However, I do know that if I try to watch something funny when I'm feeling down - it helps my mood (even if it is a little).

If you want to laugh a little - there is a cute group of videos called "BoredShortsTV". You can find them here:

I may be infantile - dh doesn't see what is so funny (I just think he doesn't have a sense of humor) - but I think it is hilarious. I especially like some of their earlier videos best (not so much the latest 2). The one I loved was about MATH. Hope it makes you smile!

emoticon Your weather sounds a lot like mine, I know it doesn't help my mood or energy levels either. If you fell asleep early your body probably needed it, but I also know it's frustrating when you want to do something and can't stay awake.

I don't have depression, but I have chronic fatigue from my cancer treatments, and that makes me FEEL depressed a lot of the time. Dealing with any type of chronic illness can make you feel tired. I hope you will be able to enjoy your movie tonight. emoticon
