Minus 11 pounds - 29 more to go

I set a goal at the beginning of this year. I am going to lose 40 pounds before my 40th birthday. Did you see how I said that. Not, "I want to lose 40 pounds" but " I AM GOING TO lost 40 pounds" and thanks to my husband deciding he wanted to join the crusade, the program is going really well.

I am down 11 pounds. I am struggling to make 5 workouts a week and for some reason I am struggling to drink water. I manage to get nine 8 oz glasses a day, but it is something I have to work to do which is so weird. My family always drank water. Soda was a special occasion thing so it strikes me as odd that I am having issues getting that done.

So, tonight will be a challenge for me. My mother in law's 70th birthday party is tonight. And that means birthday cake. White cake, white frosting and that my friends, is about as close to perfect as food gets for me. I have already decided that I will eat no bread and a small serving of potatoes so I can go ahead and have a reasonable piece of cake. The trick will be to avoid having a piece of cake every day this week!!!! I plan big workouts to offset the sugar for tomorrow and hopefully that will take care of it. Because life is gonna give you cake once in a while and I don't want to spend forever saying no to something I dream about!!!
