I have been having some really bad stomach issues all week and think it might be low stomach acid. I hunted around the internet and gathered some information and shared it all on my blog! Now, off to get some of the things I need at the grocery store to "treat" my icky tummy.

emoticon Have you had stomach acid imbalances before? How did you treat it? emoticon

The internet is a great resource for so many things but don't diagnose yourself based on what the web says. Go to a doc. I hope you feel better. Pat

Gall bladder issues are very common in women, and could be a possibility...

I have several digestive problems, acid reflux, gastritis, IBS tendencies and my esophagus does not push the food down the shoot properly. What works for me is taking acid reducers daily, watching the amount of fatty content food I eat, no spicy foods, onions or garlic (big bummer), the kinds of alcohol I drink and biggest bummer, coffee, I really, really had to cut back!!!. Acidic food irritates these kinds of problems, so you just have to kind of take the trial by fire method, and see what foods irritate the problems. I tried being dairy and meatless for a while and found that it did not really make that big of a difference. It was really the fat content that was the problem.

Hope that helps a little, hang in there!!!

I don't know all the ins and outs but have you had your gall bladder checked?

I had TWO friends who had theirs removed (sounds worse than it is nowadays) about 10 years ago. They BOTH said, they felt immediately better and it was the best thing they'd ever done. One had suffered about a year and the other had suffered for like TEN years! Come to find out getting their rotten GBs out fixed it.

I always share that story with anybody who has lots of tummy (upper) issues cos you never know. You'd think their doctors would've found it sooner but I guess they don't.
