Whew! Whew!

Thursday, April 18, 2013

I promised myself to try to blog every day and BARELY made it, today! Whew!

I am still feeling motivated. This entry is a testament. I have been trying to cut down SEVERELY on my processed carbs, particularly at lunch (I get soooooo tired in the afternoons and this helps). Of course, they fight back, ESPECIALLY the first few weeks.

So today I am sitting at my desk, cutting some awesome code I am proud of and BOOM! All I can think about is a Reeses PB cup. I NEED one. Of course I know I don't NEED one, but my brain thinks so. I grabbed my coffee mug, dashed to the water dispenser, and made me some green tea. Honestly, I dumped a little honey in there...but it helped.

That was 20 minutes ago and the cravings are gone. I consider it a success!!!

Also? Random note? This community is soooo supportive and amazing!

Great job! Sometimes those wrong foods can call out to us so loudly, can't they?

Your motivation is wonderful! I went back and read your previous blogs. I'm glad that you are blogging every day, because I want to read more of what you have to say.

Congratulations on starting up again! Congratulations on not letting your mother's lack of support get you down! Congratulations on substituting green tea and honey as your afternoon pick-me-up!

I'd have gone for the Reese's so it didn't weigh on my mind so much. But only allow, one mini. No others available. Then a huge glass of water. But this worked for you. Fantastic! Keep up the great work!
