A feeling of deja vu is coming over you, I'm sure. I even think my blog title is a repeat.
I spent some time trying the Weight Watchers points program. Overall, it was a bust. Too many extra points all over the place and it felt like I had too much room to negotiate with calories.
So, back to Spark, where at least I can easily track my calories and I can peruse and even try out new workouts.
Ran a couple of big races in 2013 so far...the Va Is For Lovers 14K and the Shamrock Half Marathon in March. The 1/2 marathon was especially thrilling as I took 15 minutes off my last pr (personal record)! I ran it in 2 hours and 20 minutes and only had to stop once to rub my arthritic tootsies. I'm going for a 2 hour and 15 minute time for my next half marathon. Hopefully that will be on my birthday and in Cape Cod!
The short-term goal right now as far as health and fitness is to get down to 143 by May 25th for my nephew's wedding...So many pictures, so much tummy..and to keep up with my runs, zumba workouts and weight training.
I updated my profile pic today after my Run For Boston this morning...a 4.5 mile run in memory of the tragedy at the Boston Marathon. I am still working through feelings of sadness as well as a little anger over the horrible events of that day. Runners Unite. Always. You can't keep us down.
