Legs Not Wheels

I live in the suburbs. I can walk to Walgreens, and that's about it. Technically I can walk to a little strip mall, but there are no sidewalks and cars are not used to pedestrians so I could die if I tried it.

And yet at the moment I have no car. Mine's in the shop at least until tomorrow. They gave me a ride home and now I'm stuck here at home. My friend picked me up and took me to meet my running group, so at least I got out of the house for a bit. Tomorrow morning they're going to call me to let me know more about what's wrong with it. I'm hoping it's nothing too serious.

Anyway, I had a great run today. Hit three miles in about 40 minutes so it was slow but I'm starting to build up some endurance and it feels good. I've got a fun 5K on Saturday night called the Glo Run, so it's at night under black light. It isn't even timed, so it's purely fun and I've got a few friends doing it with me. And the run happens to be near my favorite Mexican restaurant so there WILL be guacamole when we're done, and really I'm pretty sure guacamole is what makes the world go round. :)

Keep your fingers crossed I've got a car again tomorrow! I'm running out of food, and then I'll have to start ordering in, and that's never healthy.

Guacamole is one of my very favorite things to eat, period. I often eat a whole avocado's worth for dinner by myself (I add salsa to it, jarred if I'm feeling lazy).

My car is in the shop right now, too. Now that I'm in Philly it doesn't matter so much, but I know what it's like.

While looking for races, I saw this very race (in South Carolina), and I really want to do it! Please let me know how it goes. I'm hoping to do it next year.

    Good luck with your car!
