I started on Weight Watchers six weeks ago. The first two and a half weeks went really well, but then I had to fly across the country with my six-month old son for his surgery, then spent a few days at my parents' house which is always bad for diets, and after that spent a whole week driving my car back to Virginia from Oregon with the baby and my mother. Needless to say, my diet and exercise went to poop. I thought I might have a fresh start after my mother flew home, but I was really discouraged when the scale from that first week didn't change at all. So discouraged that Sunday and Monday were also not good diet days.

I feel like I am failing. I can't jog because my right shin is bothering me and needs a little nursing before I can get back out there. Pilates are going okay, but the pregnancy did more mayhem then I had originally thought so it is a slower process than I would like. It is progressing, though.

My biggest problem is that now that our move is over and the house is fairly in order, baby has adjusted, and my remaining projects are small, I get bored and all I want to do is eat.

I need encouragement.

I love kickboxing! I really have no excuse for not being outside. I just acquired an awesome jogging/walking stroller. I think my biggest issue is that I'm bored. Wordwoman7, the vision collage is a great idea! I think I might just make one for my hallway so I walk by it all the time.

Mande, The gym won't work because we only have the one car right now. I wouldn't be able to get there.

The encouragement here is fantastic! Thanks guys. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Today, husband brought home food after I just finished cleaning bad food out of the house. I am not happy and want to throw it away! I already went over my points today just because of that.

    Were has my willpower gone?!!

Also kickboxing, I think you would be great at it!

You can do this Jojo, I've seen you kill it in your runs and in Pilates at any weight. Take care of your shin and ankle for now so you can do the hard impact stuff later.

Ooo, is there a gym nearby that has a daycare? You could meet new people, take fun classes and work it out. The treadmill is softer than the road. Also, I think you would be good at zumba. Lol, I know it's dance but you're very coordinated and have a marvelous butt you could be shaking.

Okay, KristaJo, you can DO THIS! Obviously you have to decide what works best for you, but these ideas might get you started:

    1. Watch a bunch of "Success Story" videos on SparkPeople. They are so inspiring!
    2. Get a library card (if you haven't done that already) and always have a good book at hand.
    3. Make sure you're getting enough sleep and drinking enough water.
    4. Do something creative, especially when the baby is napping. You could knit, work on a scrapbook, plan a special project - whatever works for you!
    5. Make a vision collage (and you get Spark points for this!) that symbolizes what's important to you and why you want to get in excellent health.
    6. Plan something that you dearly want - maybe a trip, maybe a party, etc.
    7. Weather permitting, put the baby in a stroller and go for lovely walks.

Best of luck. You can do this!
