Oh my gosh- is that sun

Tuesday, April 16, 2013

The sun is actually shining so far today. After cancelling many track meets they might have one after school today. Funeral on Monday and now another today. I hope that is the end for awhile. Too much running around yesterday so no excercise but hope today since the funeral is closer that I will get home and get some in.

I have been watching the eating very close so far this week, probably under eating like before. But with lots of family around that I haven't seen for a long time, who thinks of food. That is good, right? I saw cousins yesterday that I haven't seen in years and had so much catching up to do.

I am hopeing the sun is here for awhile and I can get in some outdoor walking. DH should start golfing soon which frees up my time to walk and more walk. I have had my grandson download some good fast walking music for me, got my headphones and a new CD player. So ready to hit the pavement if it stays this way.

I am checking on finding some good recipes for outdoor cooking. When we start camping I want to be able to cook healthy on the fire and charcoal. That is our joy in the summer. I am so ready to enjoy the outdoors, although with weight lost I find I am colder now and will need that jacket handy.

Hope this weather is out there for all to enjoy today. Lets make the most of it and give Praise to God that it sticks around for awhile.

Sun is shining here too!! Horray!!( now I am just hoping for a little more warmth, but I won't get greedy).
I think it really helps you to pick up the pace when you have some good tunes on. You'll find you're listening more to the music and not thinking so much about how much farther you have to go.
I love to cook outdoors in the summer and I think when we are grilling we automatically cut back on the fat and calories because you can get so much good flavor from the grill with simple spices and marinades and that plain old grill flavor. At least you'll have that campfire to keep you warm! ha,ha!
Hope you have a joyous day. I am sorry for all of your loss with the funerals you have been attending, but I pray you find comfort in the family and friends that surround you. emoticon
