New Sense of Normal
Sunday, April 14, 2013
Wow. It has been a very stressful and eventful 2 months. My mom was in and out of the hospital with pneumonia since January that was just too powerful for her body to handle and she passed away last week Sunday evening. Her Multiple Sclerosis just complicated things and her body wasn't able to handle the infection. She was so sick and miserable that she just couldn't do it anymore. We really did not expect this to be as bad as it was, but it became apparent in February that it could go either way. She made the decision to go to an inpatient hospice on a Thursday morning and when she finally got there, she finally relaxed after not sleeping for about a week and finally fell asleep. She never woke up. It was very peaceful and the setting was beautiful but my life is now forever changed.
It has been really hard but I know I'll be okay. This week my healthy eating has gone OUT the window but I have managed to get in some workouts and have definitely learned to relax and let life happen without worrying about more than today and what I have to get through. It will be nice to get back to normal this next week although now the next job is to clean out her apartment but I have a big family and I know we will have a lot of help. We will get through this.
Thank you everyone for all of the messages and goodies that you have sent. I have read each and every one of them and they all mean a lot.
