Day #478 Vitality Challenge Day #1- Weigh In

Sunday, April 14, 2013

Hey everyone, I know that blogging to days in a row is kind of uncharacteristic of me, but I thought it would be a good idea since today is the first day I have weighed in and over a month. Honestly, I am not at all happy with the results of my weigh in. I mean I know that these past 14 days I have made pretty big strides towards reaching my goals, but I feel like the month of March really threw me off of my game and that is why I gained a few pounds. However, now I feel like I am going to do better and keep more on track of my weight. I am going to use my current weight as my starting weight, and I am going to start weighing in daily first thing in the morning.

Starting Weight: 198lbs

Goal Weight: 125lbs

This is the highest weight I have ever been at and I never want to see a number this high again! It just makes me feel disgusting, and it isn’t fair to me! I should definitely be treating myself better than that.

Over the next 15 days I am going to go through and do the blog prompts from my old vitality challenge, and try to use that to set up some good strong habits for myself. As for my goals they are basically going to be the same as they have been for all of this month except for that I am going to tweak myself love goal a bit.

Self-Love: Keep a journal to keep track of everything you are eating, how much you are burning through exercise, and how much you weigh. Also, you can use it as a type of journal to write about how you feel. While I am at school this month I feel that this will be the best for me because there is no way for me to completely track my calories because we don’t have calorie information nor do we have ways to measure portions. However, this will allow me to see what I am eating and about how much I am eating so that I can learn from it.

Nutrition: Keep the soda drinking and the consumption of fried foods to a minimum. I have done a pretty good job of doing this so far this month, and it has honestly made me feel a ton better, so hopefully I can keep up with that and be perfect for the next 15 Days.

Fitness: Workout at least 3x per week. I would love to work out more than this, but I know that some weeks that is not very realistic so I am going to set my goal for 3x per week and hope that I do even better than that.

These goals are important to me because I know that these goals will help me makes strides towards reaching my ultimate goal of feeling and looking better about myself. If I don’t set small goals like this then I will never really reach my goal. I chose to do this challenge because it has helped me get on track and make habits in the past. It has also helped me to be more aware of myself, and I am hoping that going through and doing this challenge will help put me all the way back on track and where I need to be. At the end of these 15 days my ultimate goal is to have been perfect with my goals. It takes 15 days to make a habit and I am hoping that these things will be habits for the most part that I am able to maintain. I would also love to notice my pants fitting a little loser, and the number on the scale going down. That would help to make me feel amazing. I want to feel like I am making steps towards my goals. I will know that I am headed in the right direction during this challenge if I keep up with my goals every day.

I hope that everyone is doing well, and that you are all making steps towards your own goals! We can do this! I know that this is my time! I have got to get rid of this weight.

My plans for today include writing a rough draft for my English research paper, and then spending some time in the gym and hopefully I will be able to spend some time with my lovely boyfriend.

I hope that you all have an amazing Sunday!
