Day one full day fast

Today was a great day! It was really fun going through my juice recipe list and trying a few new juices. Tomorrow I will get to try more :) I really like beets, but I have decided that too much beet in a juice, kinda tastes like dirt... Hahaha. Sadly, it's still not the worst thing I've ever tried. I had felt fine today, listened to my body and drank some juice when I got hungry (about every 2-3 hours).

I had planned on taking the dog to the beach, since its his very favorite place, and we get an hour and a half of walking in, but just as I was going to put in my shoes it started to hail and then pour rain. We settled for a came of chase up and down the stairs... Phew I think I was more tuckered out than he was.

No side effects or anything else to note for today-although while I was watching my little juicer go today (I nicknamed her 'Juicy') I realized that our bodies are kind of like big juicers... I'll let you picture that in your minds for a minute... Hahaha.

    It's my first time juicing. On day 3 of a green juice plan and am very interested in gathering information from others who juice when I ran across your blog. I have juice for breakfast and lunch then a sensible dinner with a probiotic greek yogurt as a snack. Thank you all for the info, especially concerning beets as I will soon be looking to add more veggies to my juices.

    Congrats on making it through day one!
    Wish I had known about the beets... LOL I freaked out (as I had never eaten beats before) I was sight! Must have googled it for an hour to make sure I didn't juice a hole in my tummy or intestines!
    I now peel my beets and they don't taste as earthy. I save the peels and leaves for my veggie broth.

    Hahaha... Don't worry about that, I don't embarrass easily. Just had a great spicy tomato kale juice. Definite keeper recipe for me :)

    And thanks for the heads up about the beets... Saves me looking it up frantically online tomorrow morning lol.

    I agree with beets, a little goes a long way, but very good for you. The nurse in me has to warn you that beet juice will definitely give you red poop and possibly pee. Should I have said poop? Hmmm perhaps feces would have been better. Don't get alarmed during your morning constitutional.

    It sounds like you are doing great. I'm so proud. Naming you juicer.. hmmm. For some reason, I like that. I may have to become more personal with mine. I don't think I will comment on the "bodies are kind of like big juicers" remark... I probably have all ready gotten in trouble with the poop and pee remark earlier.
