Streak Day 40!

Wow can you say proud? I can't believe how motivated I have been over the past few weeks. I am happy to say that I in the last 7 weeks I have had almost 5000 minutes of fitness or activity. I have been dedicated and focused on my journey which has made things much easier.

I haven't lost a lot of weight or anything but I can tell the difference that my efforts are making and people are noticing. I am getting stronger and can feel the changes in my body.

In the last few weeks I have been trying harder to meet my ranges for the nutrition and it is getting easier with practice. The weekends are the hardest though because I don't tend to eat more than two meals but I do have bigger meals and I do still have healthy snacks throughout the day too. One thing that I have noticed this week is that if I add dairy in everyday it seems to help me meet more of my ranges than if I don't.

Tomorrow starts the last week of the 5% Challenge and I am also completing the 30 Day Squat Challenge this week as well. I can't believe that it has been 8 weeks since I started the 5%C but I am so glad that I took the opportunity to participate and really get involved with the challenge as that was the main reason that I have a 40 day streak right now. I can't wait for the next challenge to start in May!!!

This week I started doing a 10 week workout plan but I think that I need to add more into my daily exercise routine besides that. Although I do feel challenged with the exercises I don't feel like I have given it my best when I am done, or basically I feel like I could do a lot more. Today is the first day since Sunday that I haven't done the cardio part of the workout plan but that is because my legs have been sore the last couple of days and I thought it was best to let them rest for a while.

DH and I bought protective gear for boxing this week and tonight that was my cardio. I got to beat my husband up but I don't think I did a very good job because I couldn't stop laughing. We sparred for about 15-25 minutes probably and were both drenched in sweat. We have had our gloves for a long time but because he is scared of hurting me we have never sparred before. We have the headgear too but the head is still off limits because we don't really want to knock each other out or anything. It was fun and as I get stronger we will be able to get some great cardio workouts in using our new equipment.

Tomorrow I have to weigh-in and hoping that my weight from this morning holds strong as I was not disappointed. :)

    Love the cardio boxing portion of your blog, too funny!
    Good luck in your weigh-in but keep in mind that even if you don't meet a goal you are healthier, stronger, and happier! Ultimately that is what is important!
