Yet another week gone by

Thursday, April 11, 2013

Can't believe it's been yet another week since my last blog! Where on earth does the time go?

Today...finally...feeling like my head is above water.

Stayed about an hour late at work and managed to get caught up on paperwork. Also managed to get my paper done for the class I'm taking and information posted for the class I'm teaching. All in all a good day. Thinking my head is almost above water now. I do SO love checking things off that to-do list emoticon

Looking back on the last blog I'm also happy to be in a better place. Although it's been cold here the weather warmed up a bit today and we're keeping fingers crossed that we might be able to go for a bike ride on the weekend.

I've had some nostalgic thoughts about my friend. She was such a sweet, gentle soul and I miss her dearly. But I'm taking her life lessons to heart and plan to enjoy each day. Because they almost all start out as wonderful treasures to explore.

I also so appreciate having SP to keep me on track. It helps me remember to PAY ATTENTION to myself. And despite this gosh-darn plateau that's holding me captive, I DO feel good and I KNOW I'm doing good things for myself.

Getting lots of good workouts in, even managing to run an extra mile on the treadmill almost everyday after my elliptical. Now, if I could just manage my appetite I'd be in good shape.

But, my success today was when I was starving clearing my desk at work I had serious thoughts about hitting the candy machine but I discovered raspberries left from lunch and satiated myself with a healthy treat instead.

Think I ended the day on the RIGHT foot!
