Spring weather brought pain

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

so we have been enjoying nice spring warm weather this week up in the 70s today in the high 80s. Not that I have gotten to go out and enjoy it very much i have been spending most of my time cooped up inside cleaning but that is beside the point. Im driving to work with the window rolled all the way down enjoying the nice warm weather when a wasp hits my hand and then lands on my neck. I figured the pain i felt at my neck was just from a bee hitting me at 60mph. I also figured it was dead didnt see it keep going next thing I know I feel it crawling up my side and stings me on my lower side agony sets in. I'm swatting at my shirt still cant see the bee don't know if its inside my shirt or what so I pulled over on the side of the road and start shaking my top and looking . Finnaly I see the culprit a very big nasty black wasp. He is on the window behind the seat headed towards me like he is going to sting me again. I squished him flung him out the window and went on to work.
The whole ride to work 15 minutes worth my side is killing me. I get to work tell my co-worker i was stung by a bee on the way to work and sure enough i have a large welp and redness. We put some sting medicine on it and I put a cold pack on it when it got warm i put another one on. 2 1/2 hours latter it still hurts like the dickens. and she said i was stung on the neck we put medicine on there as well but its not as bad so I dont think he really got me very good there. the last time I got stung i had a delayed reaction that I am not looking forward to I thought i had the flu. I ached all over and had a fever about 5 days after being stung . I am monitoring myself but ugh I was looking forward to nice weather now I want my snow back lol
we almost have the chicken coop done Im really hoping william gets it done tonight or tomorrow. the chickens need to get out of the house they keep getting lose from the dog kennel. they look so funny they are getting there big bird feathers so the wings have white feathers but the rest still has a lot of fluff. I want to get some color chickens I hate them all being boring white. but va law you have to buy 6 at a time . so I have 6 white ones.
my weight is still slowly slowly going down. in reality its really good but when you have weight loss surgery you expect it to move faster. I had my hiking boots on when i weighted myself and about had a fit i was 2 lb heavier but as soon as i took them off there was my 2 lbs so shoes really do add some weight. did really good today had salad for lunch i added kidney beans to it for protein. and i had a few bites of spaghetti that also is going to be my supper and left over salad. Im really in the mood for the salad todayIm trying to eat more of it then to carbs in spaghetti.

I have heard that putting MSG on wasp or bee sting will neutralize the sting. You could also take an antihistimine to lessen the side effects since you felt sick afterward.

Come on up to Minnesota - we are getting blasted with snow over-night and expecting anywhere from 4 to 8 inches or more. You could easily roll around in the coolness of the weather and forget all about your achey body!! LOL
