Ready for a Future

I have not logged on to Sparkpeople in a really long time. It seems I let other things get in the way: work and facebook mainly. I have still been doing all of my regular workouts, but the eating has not been so important.

During the week, I eat really well; I just have not been counting calories, so who knows. The weekends are dreadful. We eat out because I am tired or we eat lots of snacks in front of the TV.

I am only maintaining my 175 pounds.

Good news is that I have been off the Diet Coke for a month! This does not have so much to do with my will power and a lot to do with we are trying to start a family.

I don't want to wait until I am 150 pounds, I want a baby now. So I'll do better at logging my food and counting my calories and I won't go crazy on the weekends with my eating. But I don't want to put my life and future family on hold because I am overweight.

    Congrats on cutting out the diet Coke! My husband curbed his "coke addiction" a few years back, and I know it wasn't easy for him.

    It's wonderful that you want to get your body ready for a new baby (and I know how hard it is to wait)! It IS possible to exercise during pregnancy, though I'm not doing as great a job of it now as I was before I got pregnant. Wanting to conceive was a huge motivator for me!

    You go girl. Life doesn't wait for things to be perfect. You keep what's important in mind keep moving forward and don't beat yourself up when life isn't perfect. When your new family begins it will give you one more reason to stay healthy and kids keep you moving so the extra baby pounds may not be as hard to loose. Keep the faith.
