let nature take its course

this is still all about my cat georgie.

he's having health issues, something neurological, but a clear diagnosis is hardly possible, too expensive, dangerous and not worth it.

so the vets have been giving him medication for possible causes, antibiotics that ruined him, and pain medication that helped but he now refuses. we have cortisol now to relieve any swelling but he won't take that either, regardless of any tricks.

and now? he seems to be improving, getting stronger. yesterday he shredded me to bits when I wouldn't let him out (in the rain!) plus he was really sure I was going to get him breakfast at 5 a.m. (I usually sleep from 1 to 9 am). he got his way.

ok there are some symptoms there, like a cock-eyed head and owl-like movements of his head, a tick out of control; he still doesn't jump up to his high bed but he does jump more than he used to; he sleeps longer than usual but he plays more intensively and is losing weight; he has become really finicky with eating. but my overall impression is that he is improving.

knock on wood.

    Hang in there, Georgie! You have tried so hard to get answers! Frustrating, but in the end, glad he is showing spunk.

    I really hope he will get better. People who don't own cats can't understand how much they mean to us. I am glad to hear he is improving!
