Decade Goal Reboot, Day 9

I didn't exactly get any exercise in yesterday, but I did get over 5000 steps so that almost counts. That's 3 days in a row of more than 5000 steps. I'm gonna take a walk today (actually probably as soon as I'm done with this post) so that I can be sure and get my 20 minutes AND my 5000 steps in today. I'm feeling ok, still kinda down. I woke up with a pre-migraine and remembered that the other reason I feel kinda off and down is that my period is due tomorrow or Thursday. So there's that emotional roller coaster (relatively speaking) for me to contend with this week as well. But I AM 8 days off sugar and working on 9. Last night at chorus practice it was birthday night and I only had 1 aussie bite and none of the other treats. Again, that's way better than normal for me so I'm counting it as a good non-sugar day. I've also been within my calorie range for 6 of the last 8 days, and was within 100 calories on one of the 2 "over" days.

So far, I'm on track to earn my rewards for no sugar and staying within my calories. The exercise is gonna be harder.

Tomorrow is my 3-year anniversary with my amazing hubby and we're going out to dinner. I chose a place with reasonable portions and healthy food options, and I'm still deciding if I'm gonna allow myself dessert. The ideal is to only have 1 or 2 sweets a month (and small ones at that), and I can't think of many better occasions than this. So I may have some if I haven't already eaten too much and if it sounds like something really amazing.

I can do this. I am worthy. I am nurturing my body.
