Grab it!

Getting around on crutches, 7 weeks post surgery and I am so ready to get on with things. There is only so much that is within my control and much of the physical aspects of my life are dictated by recovery. So, basically that means, I can control what I eat and I can use my hand weights often during the day. Before surgery, I bought two sets of weights-6 pounds and 8 pounds with the plan to use these multiple times a day during recovery. They are placed conveniently by my "brown chair", which by now should have a zip code of its very own. Brown chair has been my home address since Feb. 19. So, weights-yes. Have done them irregularly throughout these weeks. Ah, but that leaves the entire area of eating completely within the bounds of my control. And I have pretended not to notice. So, all the yummy food that has come in the house during this time has been happily consumed and not tracked. Oh, I may have tracked 1 or even 2 meals, but that was not the plan going into surgery and recovery. So, here we are 7 weeks (tomorrow) into this plan and it is way beyond time to track my food. Breakfast tracked for today (check) and a yummy breakfast it was. It is definitely my time to grab the tiger by the tail!
