Greenwater 4.7.13

Sunday, April 07, 2013

It was such a rainy day that we didn't want to go hiking but we didn't want to sit home either so we went for a drive up on the forest road 70 near Greenwater. We went all the way to the SnoPark then went down to the Greenwater Lakes Trailhead.
We walked about 1.5 miles on the Greenwater Lakes Trail then went back to driving.
We went as far as we could on several other roads off FR70 always forced to stop when the snow got deep. I am so ready for all that snow to melt!

Here's some pics from today:

It's very lush in places

Thanks Wendy for posting for us these gorgeous photos! I love to see the snow falling. A mile and a half is better than nothing! Especially in scenery like that-worth it! emoticon

Hope spring comes soon for you!! emoticon

Looking forward to next weeks hike...maybe it will happen...no more snow!! emoticon

The pics are beautiful. I bet you are ready for the snow to be gone, although you've gotten a lot of great hikes in the snow done this winter. But I imagine the call of spring is tugging at you!
