I Did It!

First Thursday of the month, you know where to find me. There's a folk club in the next town over that's been meeting for years. Sometimes we get up and coming performers before they get to be too good and too well-known for a small group like ours. Sometimes we get the ones who already have music as their day jobs, but they remember their roots. :-)

And the first Thursday of April is open stage.

Since I first started going, ~7 years ago, I started thinking I should actually get up and sing a song or two--but I couldn't get up the nerve. 2 years ago, I finally managed--I sang in a trio with a 2 friends. We were going to do it again this year, but one of them had to cancel more or less at the last minute.

So.... I did it anyway.

My day job does not need to worry. But the audience should be prepared--I'll be back next year, one way or another. Hopefully with my friends--because I prefer ensembles. But if not, well, I can come up with another solo!
